BECOMING
A FOLLOWER OF JESUS -
One day, people from every tribe and nation will live
with the Creator in a new heaven and a new earth.
The Creator's Word tells us:
"The
time will come when the Lord will make everything new. He will send the Christ . .
. He must remain in heaven until the time when God makes everything new."
ACTS
3:19-21
When this happens, the Creator's way of things; will never be broken
again. He will live with his people and walk with them as he did in the beginning.
To share in this, you must become a follower of the Son of God---Jesus--who said:
"I
am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through
me."
JOHN 14:6
How is Jesus the Way to the Father? Jesus gave
the gift of his life for you. His blood was poured out and he died for you.
"We
have been set free because of what Christ has done. Through his blood our sins
have been forgiven. We have been set free because God's grace is so rich."
EPHESIANS
1:7
After Jesus died, he rose from the dead with power and glory. Now the
Jesus Way of truth and life can be your way, too. When you follow the Jesus Way,
you are finding your home with the Creator.
"God made us, He created us to
belong to Christ Jesus." EPHESIANS 2:10
"..turn away from your
sins. Turn to God. Then your sins will be wiped away."
ACTS 3:19
You
have a real choice. You can walk on a new trail. You must turn away from your old
path and turn to the Jesus Way. Here is what you must do to become a follower of
Jesus:
1. ADMIT to the Creator that you are captive to sin and have not followed
his path for right living.
2. BELIEVE that the Creator of the world love you and
sent his Son Jesus to take the penalty for your sin.
3. CONFESS "Jesus is
Lord." Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. Then
you will be saved."
ROMANS 10:9
You
can tell Jesus that you will now follow his Way:
Jesus, I believe you died for my
sins and rose again so I can have new life. I want to turn from my sin. I
want to serve and follow you. I give myself to you. Help me now to love you with
all my heart and soul and mind. Amen.
"God's grace has saved you
because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn't come from anything you do. It is
God's gift."
EPHESIANS 2:8
